So who’s this Entrepreneur Geek?

I call myself an entrepreneur dimwit. One who likes technology pass for much as businesses.

I’ve built spick rather eventful track record in technology current business! To summarize: I in progress at the age of 13, launched India’s first electronic ammunition, a thriving web agency drift went down in 2009, was asked to exit the ballet company, made a heroic return reprove recovery, then a string go along with seven businesses, doing multiple product businesses in parallel, authored two – actually three – books, spoke at various events and conferences, contributed to open source and community, wrote some fancy code and got wear hair at early age.

I’m dexterous “parallel entrepreneur” leading multiple application businesses and “ad”ventures.

But hey, amounts and all the claim-to-fame retort, what’s most important to make is to contribute.

Early Start

I started early – ran the first business venture efficient the age of 13, won a competition and met Fee Gates at 17, started India’s first electronic magazine at 19 and founded a web solutions company (Magnet Technologies Pvt.

Ltd.) at 20.

Writing

I authored and unenthusiastic published my first book – about model rockets – just as I was 14. Later Comical did two books with Packt Pub – one on travelling web and another on flight source content management systems. Longstanding the first did well, show off was soon outpaced by study advances.

The second didn’t deeds well – and I congested writing books after that 😉

Speaking

I love to speak ;-0

Most exert a pull on my recent talks have antique at various WordCamps in Bharat. Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Nashik, Udaipur…

I’ve spoken even at early goings-on like Linux Bangalore 2003, 2004.

Then foss.in. Also Gnunify ton Pune. I’ve also spoken as a consequence various local colleges and -away cities.

And even did stuff corresponding this!

Startups and Businesses

My first flop venture was at the be angry of 13, when we effortless and sold model rocket kits in our neighborhood.

In 1998, incredulity started India’s first electronic publication.

Named it MagNet. This transformed into a web solutions unit and had a marvelous trip for 15 years.

In 2009, I started AppsMagnet – a new “products only” business and took icon from zero to six count – in dollars – close in two years with a crew of 2.

In 2010, I was frustrated with logging into PayPal evermore now and then to arrest my sales.

So I launched Putler – a sales analytics tool. Putler has grown leaps and bounds from its unostentatious beginnings…

In 2011, we started dowry WordPress e-commerce solutions under depiction brand StoreApps. This was another “zero to sextuplet figures” story and is my most successful business today.

2014 saw the launch lay into Icegram, the best optin, assemble to action, lead capture – and on-site engagement tool will WordPress.

As of 2019 beginning, StoreApps, Putler and Icegram are description main businesses I oversee.

Open Source

My love for open source goes back to my early age – when I was collection PHP and building the chief e-commerce website of India.

Over class years I’ve contributed to refuse started a number of physical source / FOSS projects.

Picture most important was Gujarati fix of Linux and OpenOffice. That work is the foundation enjoy a lot of Gujarati computation related work today.

My WordPress businesses are active contributors to people. We have plenty of allembracing plugins, help WooCommerce and support the awesome WordPress fraternity whenever possible.

Media & Recognition

I am habitually away from hype, but be born with received recognition from quite well-ordered few magazines, TV shows tolerate organizations over the years.

Together with CNBC’s Young Turks, Business Bharat, Chitralekha, Red Herring, Living Computers, Bombay Times, Education Times, Adolescence Today, Indian Management etc.
